Our site was tested by typical users. In this case, artists that would be interested in posting their work to the site, joining the Petaluma Arts Council, or using the site as a resource tool when they needed supplies or framing needs. Here are our posted results. Names have been omitted for respectful privacy to the artists who took their time in filling out the form.

What was the overall tone and feel of the site? Easy to navigate, not lost in a lot of clutter. Artistic Visually disappointing Good
What is the site about? The different areas of the PCA. Examples of local artists who are involved with the arts council. The Petaluma Arts Council and the areas they are involved within the Petaluma community Information on Artist and services provided by the comunity for the community as well as artists within. Making Arts accessible to all residents
Did you feel the site was easy to navigate? very easily yes yes yes
Did you find what you expected from the pages? yes yes and more the sample paintings (artist of the month) came up different than I have ever seen... visually appealing yes
Where the pages interesting? yes, interesting links and current information I am interested in the arts and therefore the pages were very appealing basic yes
Did you find the visuals appropriate? yes yes, did not understand a few of the icons yes they were good...big enough and colorful yes
Did you find the organization and sequencing of information appropriate? could combine calendar and events rollover into one and place at bottom of list on the calendar page. yes, would like to see more pictures of artist works yes yes
Could you find the online form to join the organization easily? Describe how you found it. yes, clicked on member easily, just clicked on member and the form was there the menu is basic, so it is easy to see "join up" immediately yes, moved the mouse over "join up" on the homepage
Did you find the calendar and was it easy to read? yes yes didn't understand the grid part yes
Did you feel the amount of interaction appropriate? yes yes yes yes
Did you find any links not working? If so, which link or image on what page? artist of the month gallery very hard to find photos; possibly use a more traditional slide show...<next> or arrow a few unfinished icons on the first page. Also would like to see more of a gallery on artist of the month some of the images on the calendar page did not load there was an error on the page
Try adding an entry to the registry. What was the message you recieved when completed? o.k. works fine works, interesting entries works gravy, power, power you signed up, thanks, it'll be reviewedby the person n stuff, have a nice day
Try viewing other entries already in the registry; do you see any problems? when viewing entries already there the top image bar with rollovers does not work had to use the back arrow to get to the site again. it is consistent, other than that it works fine. the names on the list aren't real entries so the address' don't work
What did you like best about the site? colors and easy navigation Colors and new approach to design it is simple so it loads quickly and information is easy to find Fast loading and easy to navigate
What comments or suggestions for improvement do you have? looks good; keep it easy on the eyes; not cluttered, very nice job I am sure as the council has more registered artists, there will be more artists works on the pages I love how the painting pop-up just from rolling over them. Maybe a little more color on the pages
